One morning during my fieldwork in Curacao, my friend and I received a message from the Sea Turtle Conservation Field Coordinator Hans. He needed help rescuing a turtle that had (once again) been spotted with a hook pierced through its body. Shortly after that, we came to help the little guy. We caught him, removed the hook, took measurements for data collection and send him back on his way.

Fingers crossed he will not bring back more human souvenirs any time soon!
